The Arvada Crime Report - September 7th: First week of September shows 50% increase in vehicle thefts #LockUp

The Arvada Crime report looks at the crime reported to the Arvada Police Department each week. On Monday, we publish a snapshot of the crimes reported during the previous week, along with statistics and patterns.

The following crimes were reported to the Arvada Police Department during the week of August 31st - September 6th:

  • Assault: 13
  • Burglary - Residential: 9
  • Drugs & Narcotics Violation: 6
  • DUI: 2
  • Motor Vehicle Theft: 14
  • Robbery: 1
  • Theft & Shoplifting: 42
  • Traffic Crashes: 18

Total Reported: 105*

Repeat Crime Areas: The following areas of Arvada were the location of two or more of the above listed crimes this week:

  • 10200 Block of 59th Place
  • 5100 Block of Wadsworth Blvd
  • 5200 Block of Wadsworth Bypass
  • 5400 Block of Wadsworth Bypass
  • 5600 Block of Kipling Parkway
  • 6500 Block of Harlan Street
  • 6700 Block of Lamar Street
  • 7900 Block of Oberon Road


During the month of August, the Arvada Police Department was documenting approximatley 65 crimes per week in the above listed catagories. This past, 105 crimes were reported with a significant increase (50%) in the theft of motor vehicles and other theft.
